A New One from Tarte

About six weeks before our wedding, Dan and I went into beauty mode. At least I call it that – he just rolls his eyes when I refer to him and “beauty mode” in the same sentence.

To look our best for our wedding photos, we took extra good care of our skin (I willed my face not to break out is more like it!) and we also did a two-week stint with the Crest Whitestrips.

The Crest Whitestrips worked pretty well for me. I noticed my teeth were brighter, but they were sort of a pain to wear. The whole gooey texture and having to suck air into your mouth so your teeth don’t get covered it saliva. It sort of wore on me and I probably didn’t stick with it long enough for that reason.

I’ve noticed that my teeth have since lost their wedding-day brightness. But it has been eight months and I do drink quite a bit of coffee and diet coke. However, I’m still interested in having pearly whites – without the hassle I found with the Whitestrips and definitely without the cost I’d encounter at my dentist’s office.

Enter Tarte Cosmetics.

I love Tarte – they are one of my favorite cosmetic brands. Tarte cheek stain is one of my favorite beauty products and their tendency to use all natural ingredients is a major plus in my book.

Earlier this week I stumbled upon a new product by Tarte – the Enbrightenment BriteSmile® Whitener & Lipgloss. It boasts an easy to use, on-the-go whitener on one side and Tarte’s t5 super fruit complex™ (i.e. a ton of antioxidants) on the gloss side. The whitener apparently whitens your teeth by up to 8 shades in 8 days. Also, the gloss has blue undertones which help make your teeth look whiter.

What’s not to love?

I ordered this in the pearly pink color and cannot wait to test it out. I’ll make sure to post a review. I wish this product would have been around before my wedding!

I can't wait to hear how you like this! I used the crest whitestrips before my wedding. They worked, but they drove me nuts! Too messy for me.

Interesting. I can't wait to hear how it went!

I need to get some whitestrips but have been dreading the taste and messiness.

I'm definitely interested to hear how you like it. Before our wedding, I got all my wisdom teeth as a beauty ritual. It worked... I was sick for two weeks and lost ten pounds right before the wedding. I looked great :)

Ooh, can't wait to see the results. I did the same thing before my wedding...Crest Whitestrips and they worked great, but kind of hurt my teeth!

The only whitening I have done was dentist-organized, and I have been curious about the WhiteStrips, but turned off by the idea of what amount to tooth-stickers. This piece of double-ended genius (thanks, Tarte!) looks so cool!
