Now I've been known to plunk down some dollar for shoes and I love my beauty products, but I feel so darn guilty paying money to get my nails done. I really see it as a treat and hardly ever get a salon pedicure or manicure. Maybe once or twice a year? Seriously, I even saved a gift card Dan got me for a pedicure once and it actually expired. I was so mad when I finally went to use it!
So yesterday I sat down with my Ped Egg, nail clippers and file, scrubs, creams and a bright summer polish. My sister got me a pedicure kit for my birthday, and that came in handy for this. It even had toe separators!
There's something about polished nails that makes me feel so put together. I used a polish from Essie's Neon Collection called Bermuda Shorts. I love Essie polish because it is very fast drying and you only need one or two coats to achieve the bottle color. I used two coats on both my hands and feet and used a top coat to get the shine factor.

It's much brighter in person - think Barbie fuchsia
Now I have to try my best to remain chip-free all week! I've got a date on Wednesday with my husband - he's taking me out for my birthday:)

Okay, after your ped-egg post I totally ran out and bought one... it really does work! I was kind of freaked out because of all the warnings (yes, I read them... and yes, I am a nerd), but I got over it and was so excited, I kept telling my husband to use it like in the commercial. He said no. lol
I love it! I too feel guilty spending $12 on a manicure but will drop hundreds elsewhere. It's weird. You did a fab job... love the color... I might do mine tonight! :)
There is nothing I hate more than spending money on a mani/pedi, only to have to chip within 36 hours. I also love Essie polish!
So cute! And I love the ring shot!
I bought a Ped-Egg too because our CVS had them on sale for $5. It works wonders! Love the color of the polish :)
So cute!
I laughed about the Ped Egg part. I have one, too, and my husband calls it the "cheese grater...for feet." :)
oooooh, that is a great color, totally fun!
I agree though- I rarely get my mails done. I think I have less then ten times total in my life, and three of those times were because I was a bridesmaid in a wedding!
i love a good pedicure, seriously i can not not have my nails painted, i love it :)
I bought the ped egg before all the wedding festivities so that my foot would like nice before my pedicure. I tried to use it on Alson but he said not to come near him with that "cheese grater". Haha, so sick.
Anyway, hope you enjoy your night out with your husband!
Haha, I just saw that Tootie's husband calls it the cheese grater as well. Too funny!
I think that maybe if I could paint my nails as well as you did I wouldn't splurge on pedicures. But I definitely enjoy getting my feet scrubbed and massaged by other people.
